Nov 10, 2008 - at the time, there was little that was comparable and still got coveted MTV airplay. this is a good song! for some reason, i think it would have appealed to kids who were more into punk or artsy post-punk bands, and those that were "outcast" in the teen years.

Nov 12, 2008 - Old ministry is the best,i wouldnt know ministry if it wasn't for their old stuff. If i heard the new ministry now i would turn the dial.. sorry

Nov 12, 2008 - this makes me embarrassed to say i like Ministry. i hope in their defense they were on lots of drugs when they made this. which is odd cuz usually you make better music when you're on drugs (eg; Metallica). i'm glad they started rocking harder after this... this is just.... so pop. i'm seriously confused by this.. lol. *and yes, its like a trainwreck... i watched the whole video* lolz

Nov 13, 2008 - oh you should read about Al's drug abuse. he was a heroin-addict
DrinkCottonGin Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - Definitely not the best track on With Sympathy, but a good enough song. I like industrial, but I just can't get down with Ministry's stuff after this . . . prefer Cabaret Voltaire from the same era. . . Would have loved to have seen an Every Day Is Halloween video . . . Does anyone buy Al saying he was pressured into making a pop record? I think thats the biggest crock . . . Clearly, he loves this stuff! Last track on the record (She's Got A Cause) is the best, IMHO.

Nov 14, 2008 - Though this is probably my favorite track off 'With Sympathy' - which is a great cheesy faux goth pop album on its own - I do have to agree that I think it's a crock that he was "forced" into making this record. I love later, harder, faster Ministry, but I think he resented this album because it didn't gel with his strung out speed industrial metal thraser image that made him popular.
DrinkCottonGin Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - It's interesting that you like both . . . phases. I'd be willing to investigate the later stuff more. Have any suggestions of tracks to check out?
frasiercranefreak Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - I consider myself a man of diverse musical tastes. I like Ministry's early synthpop recordings, but I also enjoy their later hard rocking metal tunes.
jackyll Says:
Nov 14, 2008 - I'd say try out 'Filth Pig' or 'Dark Side of the Spoon' for a more experimental side of Ministry as an industrial metal act.
korndud Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - agreed. the land of rape and honey is my fav though:)
korndud Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - depends, dark side of the spoon and filth pig and pretty metal, if you're looking for more industrial check out the land of rape and honey.
Notoriouskitty Says:
Nov 16, 2008 - i know AL hates this cd, but i use 2 LOVE it
roddiero Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - This album is Ministry lite. It has all the elements of darkness and aggression that became Al's trademark later. It's a very good album in any case. 'Every day is Halloween' (12" single) was one of the coolest songs of the 80s. I was a teen then, and when I first heard it, I was floored. Still am. Wish there was a vid for it. All Al's stuff kicks ass.
