video of our frogfish "gremlin" using his esca (fishing lure on top of his head) to attempt to lure a killifish towards his mouth so he can be eaten. the killifish is too large to be eaten, so he's still in the tank as of today. gremlin eats a diet of small live killifish and live grass shrimp.

this is a wartskin anglerfish catching and eating a grass shrimp. to speed up the process i used a pair of grabbers to push the shrimp in front of his face. from what i've read, frogfish can swallow their prey in 1/30th of a second.
